MW1100 / MW1100S

Hand-held moisture meters MW 1100 and MW 1100S are light-weight and easyto- use models which let you quickly and accurately measure the moisture in a wide variety of products. Manufacturing departments, goods receiving stations or quality controllers will probably be the first to use them.


Handling
The sensor of MW 1100 is flat and dish-like at the bottom which should make full contact with the sample under analysis. The moisture content is measured and shown within one second. To measure moistures with a MW 1100S, the lancet probe with the sensor at its tip is pushed into a bale, filled box or similar package.


Standard configuration
The compact unit is battery-powered and features a backlit LCD graphics display and an integral planar sensor.

MW 1100-series units come in a transport box containing the measuring unit, a universal power pack, a charger lead for operation in vehicles, and an interface cable.




Measuring range
The actual measuring range is specific to the material under analysis, goes from 0.0% to 70.0%, and can be selected in some sections. Supported product temperatures range from 5°C to 60°C, are read using the integral infrared temperature sensor, and are compensated by optional thermally stabilized calibration.

Repeatability
Standard deviation depends on the material under analysis and will normally
be about 0.5% for 10 readings from the same sample.

Product and configuration memory
The on-board EEPROM stores calibrations for up to 20 different products and a total of 250 measuring results.

Ports
The unit features an analog output (4-20mA), a USB port for PC connection, a port for external temperature sensor connection (PT100 or IR), and a printer port for an optional TEWS heat transfer printer for thermal paper strips.

Software
Apart from the on-board firmware, there is an option to communicate with a PC using the convenience software TEWS Moisture View Light.
